The Lavender House - New Sofa - the Gap!

I started working on the furniture for the living room an I hit a snag๐Ÿ˜•.   Originally, I order the sofa kit created by "1 inch mins by Kris". ( I love her kits❤❤!)  I find the instruction are easy to follow and the pictures give a clear path while creating the kit.  After putting the  Sofa kit together I found  it was not the style of furniture I wanted for this living room and the fabric I choose was to clashing with the rest of the room.

I changed direction and went with the HOM sofa. but I ran into a snag when I was putting together the sofa back.  I found I have a gap between the seat and the sofa back. I think I will get a piece of paper board and cover it with the fabric to cover the gap  on both sides.  If any one has any ideas I would love a suggestions on how to fix this issue.

The Lavender House - Easter 2021

Happy Easter from the Lavender House - Yes this is a late blog entry. I want to share the pictures of the Bunch layout this Easter.  This was all posable because the furniture for the Living room has not come in. ( I have not made it because I kept changing my mind).

The Lavender House - Bathroom

The bathroom was originally next to the staircase and yes you had to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom  (All I can say is first miniature build).  I did not like that the room was very long and narrow.  I did however like my flooring I hand laid each piece it took two days.

In the remodel, the bath was moved to the right of the bedroom and it back up agonist a walk in closet.

View of the closet and the bathroom

The wall paper is from dollhosesandmore.com it's called "Hamilton Purple Plum" the faux brick was painted and the sealed with a high glass to look like tile. the floor was created om the cricut and half way thought installation I notice it was slight off and so a painted it to match the wall and filled in the mistake with wood glue and wood pieces. The mirror that looks like a window is from "Artofmini.com" an online miniature store that has unique miniatures.  the shelves use in the bathroom which you will see in later pictures also come from that store.

I am still working out whatto hang on the walls.  I do not want the pictures to get lost on the wall paper and I do not want the pictures to overtake the wallpaper. I painted the ceiling white to allow the light to reflect off it and give the room more light becouse it did not have a window that would bring in natural light.

Overall I am very pleased with how this room turned out. I do need to fix the crown molding that was not glued down well.

I am happy to say the bathroom is complete!

The Lavender House - Bedroom and closet

Organically I had two bedroom in this house and you had to walk though the bath room to access the bedrooms.  Well,  I moved the bathroom to the other side of the house. I made the bed room larger and I took the closet idea  again from  Jodi of " My Miniature Madness".   I just loved how she planned out this house that you jus have to barrow some of the ideas.  The bedroom is a light lilac colored flower wall paper with a white back ground that shows' every flaw and mistake you make.  The closet locaed in the back right corner, the darker purple area (which is the same color of the house when I first painted it).   The modern painting were done by a friend.  The floors in the bedroom , close and the hallway will all be a dark wood with white trim.

The bedroom with the wallpaper; flooring and the build ins ( just for looks they don't open). The window was open to make a full length window.  The bed and side table are from " Real-life Miniatures bedroom kit"

I choose to leave the door off the closet. The wing chair is a kit. from Miniature.com. from  "Miniature's by Kris".
